Short Fractal Art and geometry animation of a wasteland landscape on any strange planet in outer space. The basic plan was only to render a short fractal landscape animation and enhance it with lightning and sound in After Effects. My PC needed 3-4 days to render the images for the 1st sequence. Stupidly i got the idea of the lost astronaut and things become much more time consuming, especially the fine-tuning of such short effects like lights and flight curve of the astronaut. Also the sound design took me a while to decide. Last not least the lost astronaut seems to appear so effective in foreground, that the landscape animation gets less attention. Also the outro needs much time for the short basic animation which is rendered in 2 sequences.
Hmmm? You decide if the lost astronaut is too much!
